So they are... the albums from the first half of 2008 that will be contenders for the "Best Of" list at year's end. There are 22 releases I recommend so far, and here they are listed in alphabetical order. (And yes, that damn MMJ album really grows on you. Even though it's not what I had hoped for.) Give each one the justice of a listen, and hopefully you'll find something new to enjoy!

Quality list. There's a few on here I haven't listened to yet but will plan on giving them a whirl at the lake next week. Not a fan of the new Nick Cave?
